$119,000

Tucked on 9th St in Oak Park, this ranch offers 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, with a living room and dining area sized for real entertaining, holidays, game days, or just spreading out on an ordinary evening, and a character you won't find in new construction. Beneath the brand-new main level carpet, original hardwood floors are waiting, ready to be refinished for a buyer who wants that classic look, or left as is and enjoyed for now. The enclosed front porch, complete with a porch swing, is the kind of spot you'll actually use, morning coffee before work, a glass of wine after it. Out back, the two-car detached garage gives you space for both vehicles and everything else, tools, bikes, a workshop, without giving up a square foot of the house. This one is ready for someone with vision, a first-time buyer ready to make it their own or an investor looking for a solid project in an established Des Moines neighborhood.
